A First Choice IICRC Certified Carpet Technician will inspect, analyze and measure square footage. The technician will explain our procedure and answer questions. Following that, you will get a quote in writing, if needed, with a set price for approval.
It is important to know that we go to great measures to care for your home. We use protective corner guards, mats, blankets, and towels. We ensure your flooring and surfaces get protection against any damage from our equipment.
Our carpet technician will pre-treat the carpet with the appropriate detergent. Green products are available on request at no extra charge.
We use our High Performance Vortex Truck-Mount System during this process. It offers the highest rate of airflow for suction. The system also has consistent water temperature of up to 230 degrees for a cleaner carpet. This system extracts a large amount of water back out of the carpet. With proper air flow it will leave carpet dry in an estimated four to six hours.
Our carpet technicians have training to remove stains. Applying Scotchgard is a great way to protect your carpet from future common soils. This is a service we provide and may available upon request for an extra charge. Please note that Scotchgard does double your drying time as well. Before your technician leaves you will receive a free bottle of Spot Out stain remover. Your stain remover is refillable for free anytime.
Upon our customer’s request, we can leave air movers behind to help speed up the drying process. Also we will protect furniture left on damp carpet by raising it with Styrofoam blocks. With adequate air flow your carpet will dry in four to six hours.

Upholstery Cleaning

First Choice Cleaning & Restorations offers upholstery cleaning services. We provide for customers along the Lakeshore and in the Greater Grand Rapids area.

We clean and deodorize a wide variety of fabrics on:

  • Pillows and cushions

We clean your upholstery using a five step cleaning process:

One of our IICRC certified technicians inspects the upholstery. The technician identifies the fabric and a pre-test for color fastness is complete. They will also note any condition that warrants special attention. Technicians provide a written estimate and may require you to sign a conditional waiver for delicate fabrics with unstable dyes. There will be no surprise charges.
Our technicians pre-treat with the appropriate detergent for your upholstery. This suspends the soil, separating it from the fabric fibers. During this process, they may need to carefully agitate your upholstery which helps the effectiveness of this step.
We use our high performance truck mounted system. The system offers the highest rate of airflow for suction. It also adjusts the water temperature based on the type of fabric. Our technicians use a low moister tool called a Hydra Master. This tool gets as much dirt as possible without over wetting the fabric, or having an over spraying effect enhancing drying time.
Our technicians have training to fight stains. Our success rate in removing most common house stains is pretty high. Although we are not miracle workers, we do our best effort. We also offer Scotchgard which protects your upholstery from common stains. We apply Scotchgard upon request for an extra charge.
We have the most advanced equipment and training in our industry. This gives us the edge that separates our service from the rest. Usually the drying time is minimal when our truck mount is used.
